Versatile Singing? Is this good?

So, today's Vocal Ensemble((more or less Choir)) got me to thinking about my voice... Let me start from the beginning of this, though.

In class, we have bee practicing for a performance that will be happening in the beginning of december, which will be infront of the entire school. Now, I already have bad stage fright, but today has made this even worse. I'm an alto when singing, but this has been... sort of changed odd enough reasons.

The songs listed below are the ones we'll be singing, and how many parts are in them. Normally, I would be on the alto part for everyone one of them:

I've Been To Haarlem - 3 parts
Kum Ba Yah - 3 parts
Good People, Now Rejoice! - 2 parts
The First Noel- 3 parts
Our Song of Peace - 3 parts

Here comes in the part that makes things highly difficult. For The First Noel and Our Song of Peace, my parts have been changed. As it stands now, I am on Tenor((the guys part)). The reason for this: The guys aren't loud enough((even though they are the part with the most people)), so my teacher had me switch to them. Apparently, like the year before, they had me in this part because I can fairly well hit the notes((more like I CAN, I just get shy about singing)). She switched me halfway through this semester and learning this song. I still haven't got all the part down, but I'm ok. It's still hard to do it though, being it was an odd switch((wasn't prepared, but it was so-so)). Then, as of today, it got even worse. For the standing arrangement, we're all spread out, and next to people who aren't on our parts. Well, the Sopranos are usually the loudest on every song, even on Our Song of Peace. Not today. Well, she out of nowhere said "you guys aren't loud enough. I'm going to have to put S. in"((i won't put my name)). Well, from what I can tell right now, she may or may not have been joking. I took it seriously at the time, so I went ahead and sang Soprano part((and i was next to a Soprano, so I had a semi-idea of what I was doing)). After we sang it, I asked if she wanted me there. At first, she was like "its ok, they were louder" and then I said "I was actually singing with them during that". Saying what I did, the Soprano next to me backed me up on it... So, now I'm Soprano on that song...

So, I can't tell if this is a problem or a good thing. Soprano, Alto, and Tenor all this year... I don't know if thats normal or not... Not to mention how scared I am for performing, and learning Our Song of Peace within 7 or so more days of practive before the actual performance... Yeah, I likley am gonna choke((I always do, but this time will be... X.X ))

I apologize if I sound so terrible... Just much too nervous right now... DX

Now THAT sucks. I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to help you with that. Maybe you need some music to set the mood? Or has that failed you already? :iconunsureplz:

Nothing much. About to do some concept art of Dumas and Lucian, in alternate outfits. Can't seem to get myself to sit and draw, though. DX
